I've worn this beanie under a bike helmet for my whole commute and it never gets sweaty, which is saying something for fleece. The micro fleece is thin enough to fit under the helmet without bunching up.
Wore this for a 5-mile run in 30-degree weather and my ears stayed warm without getting sweaty, which is rare for a beanie. The micro fleece is thin enough to stuff in a jacket pocket but still blocks the wind. Fits snug without squeezing my head.
